Better Than Boot Camp

To treat severe behavior problems, boot camp programs rely on aggressive confrontation, harsh discipline, extreme physical exertion, and strict obedience to those with power. Although they succeed in punishing, they fail to effect positive change.
To date no reliable evidence exists to support the claims of success made by boot camp programs. There is, however, a considerable body of evidence showing such approaches to be ineffective at best and harmful at worst.
The difference between Three Springs programs and boot camp lies in our respect for children. Our goal is not to break them into submission, but to provide a positive atmosphere where they learn responsibility and respect for others and themselves.
The foundation of every Three Springs program is the Positive Peer Culture. Any adult who has dealt with a teenager will tell you that screaming at a teen only worsens a problem. The Positive Peer Culture program stresses that real change in troubled children comes from positive reinforcement from their peer group.Three Springs Provides Lasting Change
We understand that the families who contact Three Springs are searching for a lasting solution to their teen's severe behavior problems.
Three Springs enjoys an outstanding record of success in treating adolescents like yours.
Do not misunderstand, the Three Springs program is not easy. All of our programs require physical exercise and tough confrontation of the issues that create severe behavioral problems. Achieving genuine change is difficult, demanding work. It takes time. But it can be accomplished within a supportive framework and in an environment of encouragement that promotes positive change.
